GOD RESCUES HIS PEOPLE

“Now behold, I have made you this day a fortified city and an iron pillar and bronze walls against the whole land–against the [successive] kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land [giving you divine strength which no hostile power can overcome]. They will fight you, but they will not defeat you. I am with you, and I will rescue you,” declares the Lord. –

Jeremiah 1:18‭-‬19

The Lord is our Light and our Salvation–whom shall we fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of our lives–of whom shall we be afraid? When the wicked, even our enemies and our foes, came upon us to eat up our flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against us, our hearts shall not fear; though war arise against us, [even then] in this will we be confident. One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide us in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide us; He will set us high upon a rock.

God has a plan for His people. He will not allow our foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps us will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is our keeper; the Lord is our shade on our right hand [the side not carrying a shield]. The sun shall not smite us by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep us from all evil; He will keep our lives. The Lord will keep our going out and our coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding.

Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; Go to God Most High for safety and you will be protected by the Almighty. You will say to the Lord, “You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God and I trust You.” He will cover us with His feathers, and under His wings we can hide. His truth will be our shield and protection.

May the love and favor of the Lord Jesus Christ rest upon you. Hallelujah!
