MY SON GIVE ME YOUR HEART

“My son, give me your heart and let your eyes observe and delight in my ways,” –

Proverbs 23:26

Live for God and love Him with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. Do not spend the rest of your life chasing your own desires, but be willing to do the will of God. You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—now is the time to honor your Maker with all that is in you.

The Lord our God is God of gods and Lord of Lords, the great, the mighty, the terrible God, Who is not partial and takes no bribe. The heavens and the heaven of heavens belong to the Lord our God, the earth also, with all that is in it and on it. We should [reverently] fear the Lord our God; we should serve Him and cling to Him, and by His name and presence we shall swear. He is our praise; He is our God, Who has done for us these great and terrible things which our eyes have seen. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

If you faithfully love the Lord your God, and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, He will send rain on your land at the right time, both in the fall and in the spring. Then you will gather your own grain, new wine, and olive oil. He will provide grass in the fields for your animals, and you will be able to eat all you want. Be careful, or you’ll be tempted to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. The Lord will become angry with you. He’ll shut the sky so that there’ll be no rain. Then the ground won’t grow any crops, and you’ll quickly disappear from this good land the Lord is giving you. Take these words of God to heart and keep them in mind.

Heavenly Father, circumcise our hearts and the hearts of our descendants, So that we will love You with all our hearts and with all our souls, for us to live. In Jesus’s name, Amen
