NEVER BE IMPATIENT IN LIFE

A word from the Lord to you. ‭‭I make everything beautiful in itself and in its time— you can never know what I am up to, I do what pleases Me.

‭‭”Then the people of Israel set out from Mount Hor, taking the road to the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom. But the people grew impatient with the long journey, and they began to speak against God and Moses. “Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?” they complained. “There is nothing to eat here and nothing to drink. And we hate this horrible manna!” So the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and many were bitten and died. Then the people came to Moses and cried out, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people. Then the Lord told him, “Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!” So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!” – Numbers 21:4-9

‭‭God knows what He’s doing. He has it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
‭‭Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your soul!

Dear Lord, forgive me for being impatient. Help me to know there is a set time for all that you have planned for me. Grant me grace to look to You and live, in Jesus’s name, Amen
