GOD DOES WONDERFUL THINGS

“O Lord, I will honor and praise Your name, for You are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now You have accomplished them.” – Isaiah 25:1

He turns mighty cities into heaps of ruins. Cities with strong walls are turned to rubble. Beautiful palaces in distant lands disappear and will never be rebuilt. Therefore, strong nations will declare His glory; ruthless nations will fear Him. But He is a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress. He is a refuge from the storm and a shelter from the heat. For the oppressive acts of ruthless people are like a storm beating against a wall, or like the relentless heat of the desert. But He silence the roar of foreign nations. As the shade of a cloud cools relentless heat, so the boastful songs of ruthless people are stilled.

We thank You, O God! We give thanks because You are near. People everywhere tell of Your wonderful deeds. For You are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God. Teach us Your ways, O Lord, that we may live according to Your truth! Grant us purity of heart, so that ww may honor You. With all our hearts we will praise You, O Lord our God. We will give glory to Your name forever, for Your love for us is very great. You have rescued us from the depths of death.

O God, Your ways are holy. Is there any god as mighty as You? You are the God of great wonders! You demonstrate Your awesome power among the nations. By Your strong arm, You redeemed Your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. Who can compare with You, O God? O Lord our God, You have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If we tried to recite all Your wonderful deeds, we would never come to the end of them.

Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May Your glory shine over all the earth.
The Lord lives! Praise to our Rock! May the God of our salvation be exalted!
