GOD SO GREATLY LOVED US

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” – John 3:16

God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

The world around us is enamored by distractions and lesser loves, we must seek to discover anew our first love, the love that God Almighty sent: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. This saying is true, and it can be trusted. By the power of the eternal Spirit He offered Himself to God as the perfect Sacrifice that now frees us from our dead works to worship and serve the living God. So Jesus is the One who has enacted a new covenant with a new relationship with God so that those who accept the invitation will receive the eternal inheritance He has promised to His heirs. For He died to release us from the guilt of the violations committed under the first covenant.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword Remain in Christ Jesus’ love. Thank Him for helping you escape the defilements of the world through the knowledge of Him, be not entangled in the things of this world. Seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. We are enlightened, we have tasted the heavenly gift, live in Him [abide vitally united to Him] and let His words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Don’t abandoned the passionate love you have for Christ Jesus, keep it in place. The one whose heart is open let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying now to all the churches. To the one who overcomes I will give access to feast on the fruit of the Tree of Life that is found in the paradise of God. Diligently heed God’s commandment – love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being– May the Lord direct your heart into [realizing and showing] the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ and in waiting for His return.
