RESTORE US AGAIN

“Restore us again, O God; and cause Your face to shine [in pleasure and approval on us], and we shall be saved!” – Psalm 80:3

God will rise up and have compassion on us, for it is time to show us favor—the appointed time has come. O Lord, there is none besides You to help, and it makes no difference to You whether the one You help is mighty or powerless. Help us, O Lord our God! For we rely on You, do not reject us or cast us off, broken down [our defenses], and scattered us; be not angry with us –O restore us and turn Yourself to us again! Save us, O God of our salvation; gather us together and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise.

Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses, neither will we say any more to the work of our hands [idols], You are our gods. For in You [O Lord] the fatherless find love, pity, and mercy. (Hosea 14:3) Turn to freedom our captivity and restore our fortunes, Have mercy on us and be gracious to us, O Lord, for we are weak (faint and withered away); God, You’re our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; For [surely] You are our Father, our Redeemer from everlasting is Your name.

God will keep us and preserve us, O Lord; You will guard and keep us from this [evil] generation forever. For we are bondmen; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended mercy and steadfast love to us, to give us some reviving to set up the house of our God, to repair its ruins, and to give us a wall [of protection] in in life. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. O GOD, our hearts is fixed (steadfast, in the confidence of faith); we will sing, yes, we will sing praises, even with our glory [all the faculties and powers of one created in Your image]!

NOT TO us, O Lord, not to us but to Your name give glory, for Your mercy and loving-kindness and for the sake of Your truth and faithfulness! We thank You and praise You, O God of our fathers, You have given us wisdom and might and has made known to us now what we desired of You, for You have made known to us the solution to our challenge. Many, O Lord our God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You! If we should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered. Turn us to Yourself, O Lord, and we shall be turned and restored! Renew our days as of old!– Hallelujah!
