GIVE THANKS AND BE THANKFUL

“Be thankful and say so to God, bless and affectionately praise His name!” –

Psalm 100:4

The LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations. Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto His name; for it is pleasant. The LORD is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His works. The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him. God has caused all His goodness to pass in front of us, thank Him.

Give God thanks from head to toe. Bless His holy name! O my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing! He forgives our sins—every one. He heals our diseases—every one. He redeems us from hell—saves our lives! He crowns us with love and mercy—a paradise crown. He wraps us in goodness—beauty eternal. He renews our youth—we’re always young in His presence. God, our refuge. We trust in Him and we are safe! That’s right—He rescues us from hidden traps, shields us from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect us— under them we’re perfectly safe; His arms fend off all harm. Thank God for His protection.

No one is good—except God alone. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose His temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, He embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on His own, with no help from us! Then He picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. Now God has us where He wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all His idea, and all His work. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. Appreciate God for your salvation and those yet to be saved.

Receive a grateful heart, tell of God’s goodness all day long. His goodness overflows in our lives. Let your thanksgiving overflow to Him. Thank God ‭for‭ His wonderful works to the children of men. Hallelujah!
