“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.” – James 1:2
Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.
The LORD is our Shepherd, we shall not want. He makes us lie down in green pastures; He leads us beside quiet waters.
He restores our souls. In the midst of the challenges, “The Joy of the Lord is our Strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)
For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Behold, God will do a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? He will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
He never fails us yet. Do not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. Our God is alive! He reigns and will come through for you. Though you go through a challenge right now, that challenge can not take your joy.
The Sovereign Lord is your all in all. Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet you should rejoice in the Lord! Be joyful in the God of your salvation!
