“And they went and awakened Him, saying, Lord, rescue and preserve us! We are perishing! And He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm (a perfect peaceableness). And the men were stunned with bewildered wonder and marveled, saying, What kind of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!” – Matthew 8:25-27
He Who keeps you will not slumber nor sleep. Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that God is God. He will be exalted among the nations! He will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Salvation belongs to the Lord; He will not allow your foot to be moved. Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Your help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. We have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it–a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, look away from the natural realm and focus your attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. Hallelujah!
