FORGIVE YOURSELF OF YOUR PAST MISTAKES

‭”I, even I, am He Who blots out and cancels your transgressions, for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.” – Isaiah 43:25

‭People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. Blessed are those who fear to do wrong, but the stubborn are headed for serious trouble. If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

‭Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.

‭There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

If Christ has not been raised, then our faith is useless and we are still guilty of our sins. We have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Acquitted of our sins, God is not holding our sins against us. ‭The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all His creation. Receive grace to forgive yourself. Look at life from God’s perspective. Jesus Christ has washed away our sins and made us clean. Don’t be too hard on yourself. We hace been forgiven!
